Christy Atwood, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Through personal experience, I believe that living a fit lifestyle tests one's resolve, motivation and commitment to change. It incites the passion that lies within each of us to be the best that we can be, both physically and mentally.

My interest for personal training began ten years ago after I made a personal dedication to a new lifestyle. It was then I came to the realization that I wanted to help others achieve their personal goals. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Texas Women's University. While attending the University, I gained experience working at various commercial and corporate gyms.

As a Certified Personal Trainer, my goal is to motivate each individual to live a fit lifestyle by designing training programs that are unique to fit ones' own needs. My areas of expertise include: Personalized Fitness Training, Weight Management, Sport Specific Training, injury Rehabilitation, Plyometrics, Active and Passive ROM, teaching group classes, Adult and Youth Training, and CPR/ First Aid. I have experience working with individuals varying in ages 13 to 74 and have had great success.

In April 2010, I graduated from Parker School of Massage where I obtained my license as a Massage Therapist. I choose this career path because it already ties in with my current background and allows me to utilize all my skills in personal training/exercise rehabilitation. I enjoy helping others whether its through deep tissue massage, sports massage or just for general relaxation after a long hard day. My general skills range from the following techniques: Deep Tissue, Prenatal Massage. Reflexology, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Swedish massage, Shiatsu, Trigger Point Therapy.

My commitment for the health industry endures my hunger for knowledge to keep up with changes in the industry. Teamwork and motivation are the keys to great achievements.
